Sollers says UAZ, Ford production can halt amid low demand

MOSCOW, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer Sollers sees risks of production suspension of the UAZ and Ford cars because of falling demand, an official told PRIME on Tuesday.

"There are risks of underload of the producing capacities and suspension of building of UAZes and Fords due to lower household demand," the official said.

According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), UAZ's sales decreased 2% on the year to 4,551 in January–February and Ford's ones 16% to 946.
